National Healthcare Group

In early 2000, public healthcare delivery was re–organized into two operative clusters. The division saw the emergence of private healthcare companies that were wholly – owned by the government and as such, received annual government subvention for the provision of subsidised medical services. All hospitals, speciality centres and polyclinics came under the umbrella management of either cluster. Overall, the move allowed for greater flexibility and autonomy in responding to the growing needs of patients island–wide.

National Healthcare Group’s vision of “Adding years of healthy life” departs from merely healing the sick to the more difficult but infinitely more rewarding task of preventing illness and preserving health and quality of life.

As a leader in public healthcare in Singapore, we are recognised at home and abroad for the quality of our medical expertise and facilities. Care is provided through an integrated network of primary healthcare polyclinics, acute care hospitals, national specialty centres, innovative virtual specialty centres and business divisions. Together, we bring a rich legacy of 325 years of medical expertise to our philosophy of patient-centric care.

With 11,000 staff, we aim to provide care that is patient-centric, accessible, seamless, comprehensive, appropriate and cost-effective.
